What has this car been doing for the last 14 years? Besides averaging slightly over 4k miles a year.

I had one of those, it was a very fun car. The Impreza shared more DNA with the WRx back then. The suspension was just slightly lifted and compliant enough to be a great dirt road burner. Just invest in wheel bearings and axles and you should be good.
